LOOSEN STUDIO is Heidi Loosen + creative friends.

Heidi Loosen is an independent multi-disciplinary designer based in Minneapolis, MN and the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. She holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley, and a BA in Fine Arts from Macalester College. 

Heidi is an intuitive designer with a love of creative problem solving. Her landscape design, organizing and interior design work is driven by a desire to help others create beautiful, functional spaces that shape and elevate their daily lives. Heidi especially loves spatial design work that encourages users to engage with the earthy, dynamic ecological processes happening all around us.




LANDSCAPE DESIGN

Heidi works one on one with clients on residential landscape design projects in her native Minnesota. She also works in collaboration with other landscape architecture firms on larger-scale residential, campus or public works projects.

ILLUSTRATION & GRAPHIC DESIGN

In addition to the visual storytelling and graphic design work that accompanies her work as a landscape designer, Heidi has developed illustrative designs for scientific research and non-profit organizations.

Her infographic design work translates new scientific research into visually compelling graphics. A passion for nature and the environment imbues her graphics with an ecologically-grounded “spirit of place.”
